Reviews & reputation

Turn on automatic review requests, route happy customers to Google and unhappy ones to a private inbox, and reply to every review with AI-drafted help.

Reviews are the compounding engine of local visibility. Aaptly helps you earn more of them and respond to every one without it becoming a second job. It all lives under Reviews.

Turn on review requests

Automatic requests go out after a visit. The master switch is off by default — you turn it on.

Open Reviews → settings (or Request reviews) and flip on Enable review requests. This is the master switch; with it off, nothing sends.

Pick your channels. Turn on Email, SMS, or both. SMS requires approved carrier registration — see SMS compliance — and always includes an opt-out line.

Set the timing. Choose how long after a completed visit to send (default 2 hours), a per-customer throttle so no one is asked twice within a window (default 30 days), and quiet hours so texts never go out late at night.

Customize the message (optional). Edit the SMS text, email subject, and email body, using tokens like {{client_first_name}}, {{studio_name}}, and {{review_link}}. Leave blank to use Aaptly's vertical-aware defaults.

Save.

Send happy customers to Google, keep feedback private

Aaptly uses a star threshold (default 5) to route requests intelligently:

  • At or above the threshold → the customer is sent to your public Google review page.
  • Below it → the feedback stays private and lands in your inbox, so you can make it right before it ever becomes a public 1-star.
Happy customers boost Google; unhappy feedback stays private.

You control the threshold. Set it to 4, for example, to send both 4★ and 5★ customers to Google and keep 1–3★ private.

Reply to every review

New reviews sync in from Google (and other platforms). On the Reviews list you'll see your rating, volume, response rate, and what needs a reply.

Open a review and click Draft reply — Aaptly writes a reply in your voice.

Edit it to taste.

Save as a draft, or Approve & post to publish it. If a post fails, you'll see a clear error and a Retry option.

Replying to reviews is both a ranking signal and a trust signal — Aaptly makes it a two-minute job.

Review sync and one-click posting require a connected Google Business Profile. Without it, Aaptly shows a read-only snapshot of recent Google reviews and you reply on Google directly. See Connect your Google Business Profile.
