Guide

The 20-minute local growth audit.

Use this checklist to find the leaks between a nearby customer searching on Google and a qualified lead reaching your inbox.

1. Check whether customers can find you

Search for your core service plus your city, then your business name, then a near-me query from a phone. Look for missing categories, thin services, old photos, stale hours, inconsistent NAP, and competitors with stronger review velocity.

2. Call, text, and submit the form

Test the path a real customer takes. Call after hours, send a text, and submit the website form. The right answer is not just a fast reply; it is a reply that can qualify intent, offer real availability, and move the customer toward a booked slot.

3. Submit like a first-time customer

Time how long it takes to contact the business from Google, a service page, a form, a DM, and a phone call. The source, service intent, urgency, and message should stay attached to the lead.

4. Inspect the review loop

Review requests should go out after the visit, owner replies should be easy to draft and approve, and private feedback should catch unhappy customers before a public rating hurts conversion.

5. Close the follow-up gap

Missed calls, unfinished forms, stale DMs, private feedback, and strong review opportunities should all have a clear next action. Local growth compounds when every lead and every happy customer has a useful follow-up path.
